Outpatient appointments are an important part of the care we provide. We see many thousands of outpatients every year and want to ensure your appointment goes smoothly.

When you arrive, you can check in using the Intouch mobile app (please see below for details). If you are unable to use this, please go to the clinic on your appointment letter and give your name and letter to the receptionist.

Please help us by arriving for your appointment on time.

What to bring with you

  • Your appointment letter.
  • Any medicines you are taking.
  • Any samples that we have asked for.
  • Money for prescriptions or a prescriptions exemption certificate.
  • A list of any questions you would like to ask.

How do I change my appointment?

For queries about your appointment, call the phone number at the top of your outpatient appointment letter.

If you have downloaded MyChart, our patient app and website, you can use this to cancel and manage some appointments.

See our contacts page for details of other numbers for outpatient queries.

Video transcript: Intouch mobile check-in guide

When attending an appointment at King’s College Hospital, Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington Hospital, Beckenham Beacon, Tessa Jowell Health Centre, or Queen Mary’s Hospital, you can now check in using an app on your phone.

Download the Intouch Appointment Manager V2 app from Google Play or the App Store.

When you are in close proximity to the site, select the hospital from the list where you are having your appointment, and confirm you have an appointment at the selected hospital.

Next, answer the check-in questions, so you can be matched to your appointment. You will be asked to confirm your date of birth and your postcode.

Then review your answers and the information the hospital has about you. If anything is incorrect, please visit Reception.

Finally, you will be asked some questions about COVID-19.

You are now checked in for your appointment, and able to take a seat in the appropriate waiting areas as directed.

When staff are ready to see you, you will be notified in the app, and directed to the appropriate room.

If you need to, you can go back and read all messages and notifications, from inside the Messages section of the app.

End of video transcript.
