To refer a patient with suspected cancer (previously known as two week wait referrals), Bromley GPs should use the Referrals Optimisation Tool. GPs from other boroughs, and other health professionals, should refer using NHS e-Referral and attach the relevant referral form.

When searching for appointments:

• include the Princess Royal, Orpington Hospital and Beckenham Beacon, as some of our specialties are available at multiple locations
• select ‘Defer to Provider’ if there is no capacity.

Informing patients

Let patients know you are making a suspected cancer referral, and that we will contact them to arrange an outpatient appointment, which will take place within two weeks.
